White Knight Toronto 2009 was an evening event for 300 guests held at one of the city’s most spectacular private estates. At this “white party” guests entered the mansion via a raised white carpet wearing their all white summer cocktail attire and their most fabulous, colourful or outrageous shoes. Guests were greeted on the White Carpet by Ben Mulroney from CTV’s eTalk and modelled their shoes for the cameras. Once inside, guests enjoyed champagne, dinner and more.
Presentations at White Knight Toronto 2009 were hosted by Global TV’s Leslie Roberts and included information about the recipient charity, Free The Children, and their new program, GO Local. The evening was capped off with fabulous entertainment that included the Canadian Tenors, 8 year old piano prodigy Ethan Bortnick, 15 year old jazz virtuoso Nikki Yanofsky and culminated in the final performance by Canadian legend Dan Hill.
This first ever sold out White Knight event raised funds to support Free The Children’s new youth empowerment program, “GO Local”, in 20 schools in Toronto this fall as well as a pilot project in Vancover later this year.
