Egale Safe Schools Campaign

Egale Canada Human Rights Trust is a national charitable organization that delivers educational programming on lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans gender (LGBT) human rights in Canada.

White Knight's funding and support will allow this program to launch in schools across Canada and will work to help eradicate our current epidemic of bullying, violence & gay teen suicide.

• Egale's Safe School campaign is the WORLD'S FIRST NATIONAL comprehensive program to address bullying and violence in Canada's school system. The program is ready - but they have NO funding to roll it out.
• Our goal is to fund this amazing new program in schools across Canada.
• The campaign, "MyGSA.ca" empowers students to create safe spaces for any youth who is in fear of being bullied at school.
• A GSA is an official student club in the school that allows all students to work together to make their school a safer place, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity and includes 1 or 2 teachers.
• The campaign also includes a website, online tools for learning & support, a resource kit for My GSA groups, a homophobic reporting program with the police and ongoing research to assist students, teachers and parents to create safe havens in their schools for all students. (www.egale.ca)
